November 28, 2011: Due to some work obligation elsewhere Kloster had to cancel their show at Ungdomshuset on the 15th of December. Sorry. We strongly recommend going to the Folk-Night! anyway. Woodpecker Wooliams is adorable and we have only heard good things about The Great Park. The Kloster show in Århus on the 8th of December is still happening.
November 23, 2011: Happy November! We are happy to announce that Kloster will be playing two more shows in 2011. One in Århus and one in Copenhagen. On the 8th of December, Kloster will be playing at the University of Århus, Nordre Ringgade 3, Stakladen, Preben Hornung Stuen. Doors open at 19:30, the concert begins at 20:00. Tickets are 40 kroner. On the 15th of December Kloster will participate in Folk-Night! at Ungdomshuset in Copenhagen with Woodpecker Wooliams and The Great Park (both from the UK). September 08, 2011: "Pranksters Jet - Accept Denied" will soon see the light of day. Expect an early October release. Free download and a very limited amount of physical copies. Also, recordings for a new Kloster album are in progress. This will be an album with lyrics in Danish.
August 22, 2011: We have a new exhibition up at The Gallery. Check it out! And remember that Kloster's Mikael R Andreasen will play a solo show at Stengade on Friday the 26th of August in support of the release of Jacob Faurholt's new album "Dark Hours" on which Mikael is contributing with some sparse vocals, some banjo plucking and a few delicate melodica notes. Doors open at 21:00. 60 kroner.
August 11, 2011: Happy rainy summer! We are happy to announce that a two track single by Drain Crystals is now available for free download. Also, Kloster will be playing a solo show supporting Jacob Faurholt at Stengade on the 26th of August. At this concert, Mikael R Andreasen will mostly play other people's songs. Welcome!
June 22, 2011: Mechanical Bird will be playing at Fanø Free Folk Festival this coming weekend. Tickets should still be available. Highly recommended! Kloster will be playing at next week's Roskilde Festival. Six people will appear as Kloster and enter the Gloria stage on Saturday the 2nd of July at 7 pm. The festival is sold out, but do come if you already have a festival ticket. Happy summer!

May 02, 2011: "A Doll's House - The Entire Collection of Lost Memories" is being released today! Hooray! We think it is one of the best albums to come out of Denmark in a long time. Check out a few songs for yourself, here. This release comes in small round metal boxes and is limited to 100 numbered copies. Order your copy at contactkloster@gmail.com. Also, Kloster is now being distributed by VME (Voices Music & Entertainment) which means that the latest two Kloster albums will be available in most bigger music stores in Denmark. October 10, 2010: Greetings from Flekkerøy, Norway. Kloster will play a small concert on October 16 at Sub Scene in Oslo, Norway. Sub Scene is located at Kirkegata 34 and the show begins at 7:30 PM. October 05, 2010: Greetings all! Some great new releases are on their way. The new Kloster album, "The Waves and Winds Still Know His Voice", is being pressed these days. It will be released the 1st of November. Before that, we hope to release a stunningly cool ep by Mechanical Bird. It's called "Daughter of the Wind" and you should all buy it. July 09, 2010: Summer is here! Kloster will be playing with a full band at Fanø Free Folk Festival on the 23rd to the 25th of July. Only few tickets left for sale. For more information, go here! The master of the coming Kloster album has arrived. Now we're working on finishing up the cover artwork. We're still not sure, who's going to release the album. It might be Washington Inc Records, but it might also be some overseas label. We'll keep you informed. Enjoy the sun.
May 27, 2010: Happy spring! Today we are digitally re-releasing a 30 years old cassette tape - "Sus & Carsten - Sange fra vrimmelen". It's a free download release. No charge at all. Go get it here! The next Kloster album is being mastered these days. A few corrections had to be made, so please be patient.
March 23, 2010: The mixing process for the next Kloster album took a little longer than expected. Also, some last minute additions by Emil Nikolaisen from Serena Maneesh were made to a few of the songs. However, we are now ready to send the whole album off to mastering. 25½ gigabytes of recorded material have turned in to 14 songs clocking in at precisely 60 minutes. The title of the album will be "The Waves and Winds Still Know His Voice". Katrine Johansen, who made the music video for Kloster's "My Heart = Your House", is busy working on artwork for the album. It should all turn out nicely. We will inform you when we have more detailed information about a release date. Enjoy spring!

December 01, 2009: December is here! And so is Kloster's new Christmas single. Go get it for free here. If you want more Christmas songs, go to Exhibition05 in The Gallery and get Mechanical Bird's Christmas EP, also free of charge. Kloster's coming full length album is being mixed these weeks. It contains 14 songs and will be titled "The Waves and Winds Still Know His Voice". We're hoping that it will see the light of day early next year.
October 23, 2009: Kloster has finished recording 14 songs for a new album. The following weeks (or months) will be spent on mixing the album. We're aiming for an early 2010 release.
October 02, 2009: Kloster will play a show at Underwood Ink (a small combined bar and book store) on Wednesday the 7th of October. Underwood Ink is located at Ryesgade 30 A, 2200 Copenhagen. The show begins at 8 PM, and the entrance fee is 50 kroner. The evening will also feature acts by Drowning Woods and Aymeric Hainaux. Welcome!

June 09, 2009: Happy summer! Kloster will soon go on a small tour in Norway. On Thursday the 18th of June, Mikael will leave for Tromsø with still no scheduled shows. Maybe a house show or something will come up. On June 24 Mikael will play a solo show at Sound of Mu in Oslo and on the 27th he will team up with Solrun Stig to play a show at the Ågseth Festival. Welcome! The recording process for the fourth Kloster album is still going well. Lots of songs have been recorded. We're still excited.

April 06, 2009: Happy spring! Kloster is now in progress of recording songs for a new album. So far we like what we hear. This time Mikael R Andreasen has mostly been focusing on writing music to the words of old psalm writers, poets, mystics and friends. Julian of Norwich, Emily Dickinson, King David, Jeanette Munksbøl and Bo Axelsen are among the lyricists. If all goes well, this could end up becoming the best Kloster album to date. There will be a small release party on the 18th of February @ Apparatet, Nørrebrogade 184, Copenhagen, 8:00 PM. The master was handed in for pressing yesterday. Even though it is not our release, we are still very excited about this. We'll keep you updated.
